ZUMIX is an East Boston-based nonprofit that provides music and creative technology programs for young people. Through their programming and community events, they present quality arts experiences for a low-income, historically underserved neighborhood. Accessibility is part of the ZUMIX ethos, but their website did not reflect that. It was not responsive, it was difficult to find information, and signing up for programs was a challenge. When redesigning the ZUMIX website, Minelli sought to solve all these problems.
The site Minelli designed for ZUMIX is an extremely easy-to-navigate information hub. We worked closely with their team to create a custom program registration system that is clean and intuitive. We also designed a custom multimedia gallery where community members can access images, video, and audio from over the years. The site is bright, friendly, and filled with images, an accurate representation of the force that is ZUMIX.
